We're in that 'Not Quite Winter But Not Quite Spring' weather pattern here, and it's frustrating me, although it shouldn't because it's essentially indicative of the rest of my life - a feeling of a door not firmly shut but a window not opened, or a season that hasn't passed and yet has started to. I suppose another word to describe that would be 'life'. Sadly no one consulted me when that was all being made so I just have to live with it, but I'm generally unhappy about the reality of it all.
You'll be pleased to know, because surely you were all on the edge of your seats, that the great big list of things to do has been whittled down to almost nothing, and after today will consist of such excitement as 'plant the rooted green onions in pots' and, um, oh what else...write my mother, I think, and mail a picture to grandparents. It's down to the last few items, in other words, and in celebration of that I started another list because, again, never ending.
In a few weeks our incredibly hectic summer of travel will begin, and I'll have many opportunities to practice packing and repacking for five people in a tiny car trunk, and also patience - those two things will go heavily hand in hand. So pass along your very best suggestions for how to fit it all in, and also travel tips for driving with young children - I'll happily take both.
