I flew S to the O to the L to the O again today - David having to take a management shift at work both days this weekend. So if I look a little harried it's because, um, I super am.

The mama:
Sweater: Reitmans via a clothing swap bag.
Blouse: Winners on sale several years ago.
Skirt: *ahem* Motherhood maternity. Stop judging.
Tights: Walmart.
Pin: Sterling silver antique poodle brooch from my mother.
I like high necked blouses, as you can tell from the two WIWS link-ups I've done so far. This is not a style I see a lot of these days, but there's something infinitely feminine about them, I think. Plus, I want to bring attention to my face and away from other areas, and I think the best way to do this is with jewellery or interesting collars and colours up around your shoulder and neck area.
Check out the other links for seriously better photos!

The brooch is too fun, and I love the colors of your blouse. It seems like high necklines are trending right now. There were even quite a few gowns at the Golden Globes that weren't the usual plunging.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite colours are all in the blue and grey family; maybe next week I need to branch out!? Thank you, the brooch is one of my absolute faves.
DeleteI agree with Shannon. the brooch is awesome. I love the color combo of the blouse and sweater as well. I am also a fan of the collar of your blouse. So feminine!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI've been wearing maternity bottoms since I got pregnant with Madison... that would make it 3+ years now... lol!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe it! You've lost so much weight.
DeleteI am wearing a maternity skirt as I write this! No judgement here.
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic.
Long live the black maternity skirt!
DeleteYou're right on the collar- def brings attention right up to your face, and on a more superficial note, IT'S WEELY WUFFLY AND PWETTY!
ReplyDeleteIf I can find one unique and semi-interesting thing every outfit - it's a win! Thanks for commenting.
