The school is small, only eight students in the 3 year old class and two teachers. The 4 year old class is apparently quite a bit larger, so I'm grateful for this child to teacher ratio. The room is bright and colourful, with little cubbies and lots of windows. Samuel ran right into the class full of excitement and settled in no problem. The teachers keep a two-inch binder of activities and projects for each child so that parents can see exactly what they do over the course of each day. There is an open-door policy, so any parent can drop in at any time unannounced.
When we came to pick Samuel up we were told he had had a great day. After talking about it, David and I have decided to enroll him until the end of February and see how he manages the next two months.

While he was at 'school' the rest of us decided to head out and get some shopping done. We found some great deals, including "The Best Of" Seasons 1 and 3 of Meerkat Manor (we have Season 2 already), and quite a large amount of yarn, which I have big plans for, and several new cassettes for Samuel's cassette player, which he loves. Thrift stores are fantastic.
